Satsuki Odamura's koto ensemble
A Shihen or 'master' of the Japanese zither, Satsuki Odamura has had major pieces written for her by prominent Australians like Peter Sculthorpe and Liza Lim. She's played with Taikoz, Synergy and the Song Company and jazz fusion ensembles like Waratah. Satsuki comes in with her students to play traditional Japanese music on kotos including the mighty bass instrument.
