Australia Council sponsorship of Choral@Montsalvat 2010

The Australia Council for the Arts has provided support for this landmark festival. Financial assistance is allowing the organising FDS Administrative Committee to create an exciting event and to promote it well. The Committee believes that all choral music will benefit from the resulting profile for singing that Choral@Montsalvat 2010 will bring.

Melbourne Composers feature in 2010

The host choirs invite you to share with them the delight of hearing the premieres of new Australian music in this Choral@Montsalvat. Several young composers are writing works especially for the occasion. Their music will be premiered by the choirs in separate concerts and then gathered together for a final concert celebrating the sum of the day’s premieres. Not only a celebration of the creative achievement of the day, but a peep into the choral sound of the future!
